Augmented reality (AR) is a technology that superimposes computer-generated images, sounds, and other sensory inputs onto the real world, enhancing the user's perception of their environment. Unlike virtual reality, which creates a completely artificial environment, AR adds layers of information to the existing world, making it a powerful tool for storytelling and education.
In the context of our tours, AR allows us to overlay historical scenes onto modern-day Sydney, providing a unique and immersive way to explore the city’s past. As you walk through the city, your smartphone or tablet acts as a window into history, revealing hidden stories, characters, and events that are anchored to the very locations you are standing in.
